There will be a Nissan Titan facelift coming to Nissan Sunnyvale, but it won't be released as soon as everyone thought. The official date for Titan's facelift has been pushed back until 2014. This is the time of year when auto makers typically release new or updated models. However, this year's tragic earthquake that struck Japan, as well as a tsunami which occurred after, put a stop to scheduled production.
One of these aftereffects is the delay of full-sized pickup truck redesign set for 2014. Nissan has agreed to temporarily shift Titan construction to Mexico. It should head back to Japan within the next year.
No specifics about a new Titan were stated, however, we can expect the pickup truck from Nissan to be available in regular, crew cab and quad cab versions.
"We will come out a little later now," said Nissan executive VP for vehicle planning and program management Andy Palmer at the Los Angeles Auto Show. "I made the decision."1
