Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) reported July sales of 82,337 units versus 71,847 units a year earlier, an increase of 14.6 percent compared with July 2009. Nissan Division sales rose 12.1 percent for the month, while sales of Infiniti vehicles were 37.6 percent higher than a year before.

NISSAN HIGHLIGHTS

    * Nissan vehicles posted sales of 72,573 units in July compared with 64,751 units sold in July the previous year, a 12.1 percent increase.
    * July marks the Nissan division's tenth consecutive month with a year-over-year sales increase.
    * The Rogue crossover recorded its best ever monthly sales of 10,963 in July, a 61.9 percent increase over the prior year. The Murano crossover experienced a 58.0 percent monthly increase on sales of 5,462 units.
    * Sales of Nissan's trucks and SUVs, including the Titan, Armada, Xterra, Pathfinder and Frontier, grew by double digits.

"The Nissan Rogue continues to set new sales records with its best month since launch and has established us as a serious player in the small crossover market," said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division. "In fact, all of Nissan's crossovers, trucks and SUVs showed substantial gains over last July."
